Casa Meia is a project for the construction of a single-family house, developed in partnership with the company AR PROPERTY DEVELOPMENT.
The villa is located in the town of Santa Barbara de Nexe, council of Faro, in a property with an irregular configuration, challenging and with great potential and consists of two floors, the first of a more social character, and the second, more private.
The entrance of the villa, marked by a wooden shading pergola that emphasizes the reception area for users, gives access to an entrance hall that opens directly to the outside with views over the pool, faro and the Ria Formosa. From this hall, distribution is made to the different spaces that make up the interior of the house, as well as access to outdoor leisure spaces.
On the 1st floor, we have a living room with an open space kitchen, a social toilet, as well as an en-suite guest bedroom.
Accessing the upper floor, we find two more en-suite bedrooms, with their respective balconies shaded by wooden pergolas.
The exterior consists of three distinct leisure areas, defined and marked by the volumetry of the house, which is visually reinforced through the combination of plastered walls and walls covered in natural stone.
Directly in front of the entrance hall is a covered outdoor area, excellent for outdoor dining, and the villa's swimming pool. Adjacent to the guest room, we find a garden area with an outdoor kitchen, which makes a mutual connection with the pool area, and the north exterior area, where the entrance gate to the villa is inserted.
The roof of the villa is also composed of a technical area, and a leisure area that allows you to contemplate the unobstructed view of the sea, the Algarve mountains and the surrounding landscape.
Despite its more contemporary language, there was a concern to give it a touch of traditionality, which was achieved through the application and combination of natural materials, such as wood and stone. These materials allowed to emphasize the volumetric deconstruction of the building, giving it more expression and character.
