N71

The N71 project, located on Rua Almirante Reis in Olhão, consists of the alteration and extension of an existing building, with the aim of improving living conditions and adapting the space to current needs.
The intervention includes the expansion of the building through the addition of a new floor, increasing the usable area and allowing a more efficient functional reorganization. The interior is reconfigured, evolving from a poorly defined layout into a structured dwelling, with the introduction of a bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen, living room, and support spaces.
At ground floor level, the existing traditional vaults are preserved, while the spaces are opened up to ensure improved natural lighting and ventilation conditions.
To address the limitation of having only one façade, a skylight is introduced throughout the building, ensuring natural light and ventilation across all floors.
The roof is enhanced with the creation of a functional roof terrace (azoteia), including outdoor areas such as a support kitchen and usable leisure spaces.
